Founded in Florence in the mid-1980s by Mario Morbidelli, Naos Action Design is now led by his son Thomas, who serves as president and creative director. Known for its innovative approach to modern living, Naos furniture includes extension dining tables, rotating coffee tables, reclining dining chairs, and shelving. Working with materials such as chromed metal, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, and glass, the brand has developed ingenious mechanisms that allow furniture to transform effortlessly. Dining tables expand to accommodate additional guests, while coffee tables rotate to provide extra surface space, making both particularly appealing for homes where flexibility matters.

Collaborations with designers such as Donato D'Urbino, Paolo Lomazzi, and Andrea Casati have played an important role in developing the brand's approach to movement. Rather than treating mechanical functions as an afterthought, Naos makes them an integral part of the design, combining engineering with sculptural forms.

The iconic Quasar is a striking example of a Naos motion table, featuring synchronized extensions that move outward as the central section rises into place. This allows the table to expand with minimal effort while maintaining its sculptural appearance. Similarly, the Discovery, a distinctive Naos coffee table, features a rotating top that simultaneously reveals two additional surfaces. Both designs demonstrate how Naos transforms everyday furniture into adaptable solutions without compromising appearance or ease of use.
