The Kolos Side Table takes shape from a plaster mold within a traditional ceramics workshop, where skilled artisans apply layers of polish before firing it in the kiln. Though its surface is glossy and smooth to the touch, the richness of the material remains perceptible. The edges absorb less pigment and appear lighter, while color gathers and deepens within the rounded contours, enhancing its sculptural character and expressive depth.
With its bold decorative presence, Kolos transcends function to become an artistic statement piece, almost as if intended for display. Its eccentric aesthetic playfully reinterprets the architecture of the Colosseum with an ironic twist. Designed by Studio Yonoh and made in Italy for Miniforms, it is also available in a coffee table version.
