Tabletops are available in clay or marble-coated poplar plywood, allowing versatile material combinations between the base and top. Franco PoliBorn in Padua, Italy, in 1950, Franco Poli is an award-winning designer who is well-respected worldwide. His experience spans decades, and he has experience as a product designer, business owner, teacher, and artistic director. In 1977, he was the artistic director for Bernini spa, and by 1986 he opened his own design studio. He also taught at multiple schools in Italy and now freelances for an array of furniture companies, including Midj. Poli has his work on permanent display at the Denver Art Museum.
His awards include the Good Design Award and the Composo D'oro, making his work highly sought after. Geometrically inspired and full of functional appeal, his products are iconic. Poli is always striving to be better, and the evolution of his work shows that.
