Unique and practical, the Bookworm shelf by Kartell makes a grand impression in a modern home. The eye-catching curved silhouette features angled accents that securely mount to the wall. Aptly named, the structure resembles a worm to bring a touch of nature inside. Thanks to the sturdy metal structure, it holds many books and other pieces of decor with ease. Fine, Italian craftsmanship ensures the shelf is designed with longevity in mind.

Manufactured in Italy with incredible attention to detail and designed by Ron Arad, the Bookworm shelf is available in three different versions to accommodate individual preferences. An array of finishes are available as well.

    Ron Arad

Born in Tel Aviv in 1951, Israel, Ron Arad is one of the most influential designers, architects, and artists of his generation. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and then moved to London to study architecture, where he now works and resides. Arad is known for changing the way we rapidly manufacture products, by creating innovative new technologies. He works with an array of iconic brands, including Swarovski, KENZO, and New Eye London.

Arad's breakthrough in design was the Rover chair in 1981, which he made from recycled materials, including scrapyard metal and seats from Rover cars. He also created a chair that can send and receive SMS messages for a revolutionary feature. His award-winning work is on display around the world.
