Vico Magistretti
Born in 1920 in Milan in a family whose members have been architects for generations, Vico Magistretti earned his degree in Architecture in 1945 at the Politecnico University in Milan. After graduation, he carried on the family tradition and began working in his father's studio and became professionally recognized on his own after winning the Grand Premio a the eighth Trienelle. Forty years later, he has too many awards and prizes to count.
Magistretti's designs use a playful use of geometry and focus on minimalism to make them look incredible in a contemporary setting. His designs have been displayed in various museum exhibitions and design publications.
