Monica Förster

Monica Förster is an internationally successful designer with many awards and accolades to her name. The Swedish designer has a studio in Stockholm and collaborates with many prestigious companies such as Artifort, Volvo, Alessi, Whirlpool, Cappellini, and more. Her designs are so internationally renowned because she has a unique approach that includes focusing on the initial idea for the product or project, rather than putting all her energy on form. Only after she has a clear concept does she think about the shape, color, and other details. This results in quality, sustainable objects.

In addition to designing beautiful yet practical products, Förster also is a creative advisor for many design companies. She has been awarded Designer of the Year and Sweden's Architect Association Award, The Golden Chair, along with many others. Her work is on display in exhibits in Sweden, as well as MoMA in New York and London's VA Museum.
