Twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten are the titular DSQUARED2, but it wasn’t until 1995 that the brand was concocted. It all started in Toronto, Canada, their hometown, where they decided to chase their designer dreams together. In 1984, the brothers attended the Parson’s School of Design in New York City with their sights set on fashion. It was Italy next, eight years later. After working with prestigious Italian fashion houses there, DSQUARED2 burst onto the scene.
The Canadian duo strives to incorporate Canadian iconography, refined Italian tailoring, and playful sensuality into everything they create, from clothes to shoes to bags to jewelry, for men, women, and children alike. Now, they’ve dipped their toes into furnishing design. In their collaboration with renowned wallpaper brand LondonArt, the iconic motifs that made them famous have been translated into art that can go right onto the walls of your home.
