First, we'll talk about how to care for wood dining tables. Any wood cleaner, such as Pledge, keeps the tables looking clean and in excellent condition. We recommend dusting weekly to prevent buildup, leading to scratches down the road. It's important to remember that wood or wood veneer tables are not stain-resistant, so we recommend using a tablecloth or placemats to prevent stains and help with avoiding marks from hot dishes. If you get a watermark or stain, using a bit of vinegar and oil on a cloth can help get rid of that marking.

Next, glass dining tables should be cleaned and cared for with glass cleaners, such as Windex. You can spray it directly on the table to get it clean and shining. If you're prone to spilling, that's no problem with glass tables since you can just wipe it up quickly, unlike wood finishes. However, we still recommend tablecloths and placemats, since most glass options are not scratch resistant.

Finally, ceramic dining tables are the easiest to care for in our book. The ceramic material has the trifecta of durability, including stain resistance, scratch resistance, and heat resistance. You can use a soft cloth and any mild detergent to dust and clean any spills. Because of this extreme durability, you don't have to worry about using tablecloths, and have a beautiful ceramic finish on full display.
