Werner Aisslinger

Werner Aisslinger enjoys using the most recent technology and has contributed towards the introduction of new materials and techniques in the world of product design. He has received multiple awards – from the Compasso d’Oro ADI to the German Design Prize, the Red Dot Award or the FX Award in the UK.

Aisslinger's work is unique and draws its inspiration from nature. Some projects are on display in the permanent collections of many international museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Neue Sammlung museum in Munich and the Vitra Design Museum. In 2014, he received an honorable mention at the Compasso D’Oro for his Behive lamp, which draws its inspiration from a beehive.
