Jorge Pensi
Born in 1946, Jorge Pensi is known as one of Spain's leading designers, even though he is from Argentina. He studied architecture in Buenos Aires before relocating to Barcelona to start his career. There, he formed his design firm, Grupo Berenguer, with Albert Lievore in 1977. The company collaborated with an array of prestigious companies and brands by creating lighting and furniture, including Knoll and Vondom. Later, though, Pensi gained a stellar reputation for designing gorgeous, comfortable chairs.
Pensi's chairs are as aesthetically pleasing as they are comfortable. He uses a combination of clean and fluid lines to create timeless designs that adapt well in various settings. His Toledo chair won multiple awards and has made him a well-known name worldwide.
