Founded in 2000 in London, designers Ashley Hall and Matthew Kavanagh formed a partnership that has become internationally known and respected. Hall, born in 1967, studied furniture design at Nottingham Trent University and Royal College of Art, while Kavanagh, born in 1966, studied product design at South Bank University. Their similar backgrounds make them work well together, but they each bring unique and unquestionable talent to their designs.
Hall and Kavanagh started collaborating with Artifort, where they created Bono, an innovative and futuristic couch that is equal parts a comfortable seating option and iconic sculptural masterpiece. Bold and revolutionary, their designs play with curves and angles in a novel way, and their experimentation provides striking results.
