    Sergio Bicego

Born in 1953, Sergio Bicego is an accomplished designer who is best known for his innovative sofas for Saba Italia. He left formal education at a young age and on a whim, started working in the field of padded furniture, and realized his passion for it. After devoting a lot of time and energy into researching building forms and new techniques for design, he opened a design studio in 1991 that become successful.

In 1993, Bicego began working with Saba Itlias and created his iconic "nomad sofas" that stray from traditional forms and are less formal. His designs have a playful use of geometry and modern flair that have made them popular around the world.
